Newer Pools and Newer Equipment

A lot of the housing in Fort Myers went in after 2000, which makes it noticeably newer than the stock further south, and that changes what our work looks like.

On the newer pools we service we more often find variable speed pumps, automation and app control, and salt systems. That is generally good news. It also means a service call is as likely to be about a control board, a sensor, or a setting as about a worn out motor.

It does not mean newer pools are trouble free. A pump running year-round here never gets the off-season a pump up north does, and a newer shell can still develop a leak when the ground under it moves. It just means we need to know the equipment you actually have rather than the equipment that was standard a generation ago.

Open-Air Pools and Sandy Soil

More swimming pools sit in the open here than in the communities to the south, and that shapes our whole routine.

An uncovered pool takes direct sun all day, which burns through chlorine faster than most people expect, and it catches everything the wind carries. There is no screen holding any of it back. The upside is that nothing is hiding in shade, so problems are visible earlier. The trade is that the water needs closer attention to stay balanced through the summer.

The ground is the other factor. Sandy soil moves after heavy rain, and that movement puts steady pressure on the places where a pool is least forgiving, around skimmer throats, fittings, and the edges of the deck. A slow leak can start at a shifted fitting rather than a crack in the shell, and it tends to start quietly enough that the water level is the first sign, so we keep an eye on those spots.

What Fort Myers Homeowners Say

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you cover both the older and newer parts of Fort Myers?

Yes. Your route day depends on which part of town you are in.

Is weekly the only option?

Yes. Open-air pools lose chlorine quickly in full sun, and a two week gap is more than most can handle.

Do you service above-ground or vinyl liner pools?

We work on in-ground concrete pools only.

My pool has a screen enclosure. Do you still service it?

Of course. Screened pools are common further south and we service plenty of them here too.

How soon can you start?

We respond the same day you reach out and will tell you the soonest available start.
